Adopting A Cat

Looking for a new best feline friend? You've come to the right place! Stray Cat Alliance adoptions are held every weekend in Los Angeles, during which truly remarkable cats are given the opportunity for a new life in a forever home—like yours. Stray Cat Alliance assumes comprehensive expenses for all the cats in our adoption program. They are treated medically, spayed/neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, dewormed, deflead and even tested for FIV and FeLV. On an ongoing basis, Stray Cat Alliance rescues cats and kittens from the streets and shelters and fosters upwards of 400 cats and kittens throughout Los Angeles County.

Our organization remains undeterred as we rise to admittedly formidable challenges caused by the loss of both home and job of many pet guardians, now devoid of resources to continue caring for their cats. We are actively working to counter ever-increasing impounds at shelters, even as cats are being cast out to live on the streets. These now-homeless cats are left to fend for themselves, without well-honed survival skills. Cats that previously never had to navigate the streets are struggling to survive as they compete for limited resources among a growing, predominantly unsterilized cat population.

Adoptions Not Recession-proof

Stray Cat Alliance's innovative adoption process helps maintain the cats in our foster program, delivering medical support, food, litter, other foster home supplies, as well as boarding. Our ongoing and assertive marketing campaign for cats in shelters, living precariously on the "red list," has resulted in much-needed additional monetary support.

Please support Stray Cat Alliance's adoption program by donating, fostering or sponsoring a cat today. We couldn't do what we do without your help.
