Thor and Loki's Story

PURR-FECT NEWS ABOUT LOKI & THOR

Some of you will remember our bonded, black,brothers, sweet Loki and Thor.  They were first returned to  us in October of 2011.  They were found as kittens on the street by one of our volunteers who adopted them out to a friend  who had them three & a half years. When she became pregnant she returned them to us. They were in foster care from October 2011 until February, 2012 when we adopted them out again.  It seemed like a wonderful fit for them, but it was not, and sadly they were returned to us again.  They were boarded from May of last year until Dec. with daily visits from our volunteers.  Loki became very ill in July and was in the hospital for two months and almost did not make it.  But with a great veterinarian, lots of love from volunteers and a strong will to return to his beloved brother Thor, he pulled through.  We were contacted in November by a couple we at SCA all know through rescue work and animal advocate activities, that they were interested in adopting them.  This news was too good to be true and we are still pinching ourselves !  Loki and Thor were brought to them the middle of  December and are doing miraculously well in a warm, comfy home surrounded by loving, caring guardians.  Their new guardians are in love with them and Loki & Thor are together doing all the things cats love to do, eating, sleeping together, playing & exploring their new home.  They are bonding with their new parents and sleeping on their bed at night.  This just proves to never give up, no matter how hard rescue can be, it can also be so rewarding !
